The blanket is made of 1000D ballistic nylon, which provides high quality, durability, and long lifespan. The 3 cross straps under the belly are shorter and specially adapted for the Icelandic horse, allowing for great shoulder freedom to avoid rub marks on the Icelandic horse's shoulders, and it is also very easy to put on/take off as there are no leg straps - just a tail strap at the back, which is also more comfortable for the horse. There are reflective details on the blanket that make it more visible in the dark, for optimal safety. It is 100% waterproof and breathable, and the inner lining is smooth, so the blanket easily moves with the horse as it moves around in the pasture, and the horse is therefore not restricted in its freedom of movement. It closes easily at the front with one piece of Velcro, a buckle, and 2 clips. Very easy and quick to use in daily life.

The blanket is large in size compared to other brands, our experience is that the vast majority of Icelandic horses use 115 in this blanket, but if you have a very large/long Icelandic, then choose 125. The horse in the picture is 143 in height and wears size 115.
